The holiday season is fast approaching, and so is the end of the NFL season. We’re onto Week 16 of 18, with a full slate of 16 games set to go between Thursday and Monday, the bulk of which will be played on Saturday. 

One of those Saturday afternoon games has caught our eye, and we’ll use it to anchor both of our two-leg parlay picks for Week 16.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been under fire recently with the team suffering three straight defeats. They’ll have a chance to get back on track this afternoon as they host the New York Giants during the Week 16 odds slate.

The Giants came back down to Earth last week with a 24-6 loss in New Orleans after three straight victories, now sitting 5-9, while the Eagles sit at 10-4 as huge favorites at home according to NFL odds.

The time is now for the Philly QB to deliver some presents on Christmas Day, so I’ll be looking at Jalen Hurts’ odds to see if I believe he’ll deliver them, or the sleigh will get lost.

One year ago today, England became European champions and Georgia Stanway was an integral part. In the run-up to the tournament, though, she did not believe she would play. With Leah Williamson deployed in midfield alongside Keira Walsh, Stanway, who was playing a number of positions for Manchester City, struggled to nail down a place in Sarina Wiegman’s XI.

Nebraska got off to a surprise start against No. 8 Ohio State on Saturday, striking first off a 12-play drive of 75 yards to take an early 7-0 lead. The Cornhuskers followed this up by immediately giving all of their momentum back to the Buckeyes with this failed attempt at a kickoff. As the broadcasters speculated, it appeared that punter Caleb Lightbourn was attempting a surprise onside kick that would give Nebraska a chance to increase their lead over the conference foes. Unfortunately, what resulted was Lightbourn doing his best imitation of Charlie Brown trying to kick the ball off of Lucy’s finger. The bright side is that Ohio State’s ensuing drive would end because of a turnover on downs—which the Cornhuskers used to give away a safety. …
